13 Year Old Boy Sexually Assaulted At Read House

    Written by Louis Lee
    July 21, 2009 – 12:27 pm

A 13-year-old boy claims he was raped in a bathroom at the Sheraton Read House. He says he was walking down the 800 Block of Broad Street when a man offered him games for his PS2 video system. The boy said he was uncomfortable with the offer and went in to the hotel to go to the bathroom.

He says the man followed him in and sexually assaulted him.

Gary W. Whitt has been arrested and charged in the incident.

Whitt admits to the act, but says he thought the boy was consenting.

    He’s being held on $165, 000 bond.
