    Well Known Cyclist In Hit & Run Accident

    A well-known area bicyclist has been struck by a hit-and-run driver Van Townsend suffered a broken leg and other injuries while riding with a friend near Raccoon Mountain.

    Townsend is a former English professor and long-time track coach at Baylor School.

    The driver of the vehicle immediately left the scene, however police were able to collect the right-side mirror and a piece of the front end of the vehicle.
