    Arrest In November Standifer Gap Arson Fire

    A house fire that occurred at 8002 Standifer Gap Road on November 28, 2009 and reported to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, has been cleared by an arrest.

    The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, Fire Investigative Task Force and Tri-Community Fire Department initiated an investigation into the cause of the fire and the findings were determined the cause to be an  incendiary device.

    Information was developed that lead to  the arrest of 23 year old Roger Bean of a Clio Avenue address in Chattanooga.

    The Hamilton County Grand Jury returned an indictment for Aggravated Arson.

    Bean turned himself in and was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.

    He was given a bond of $15,000.
