ROBERT JOHNSONChattanooga Police responded to a Domestic Assault call late Monday night involving Hamilton County Corrections Officer Robert Johnson.  The incident occurred at the Lake Shore on the Hill Apartments at 5873 Lake Resort Terrace around midnight.

When officers arrived, they spoke with the victim, Crystal Zeppa, who stated that she was held against her will inside Johnson’s apartment and when she tried to leave he drug her back into the apartment by her hair.  He then put a gun to her head and threatened to kill her.

Zeppa said during the scuffle with Johnson, she was choked and bitten by the suspect.  After getting free from Johnson, she ran to the parking lot where she was met by Chattanooga Officers.

According to Investigators, Johnson was taken into custody and transported to Hamilton County Jail where he was charged with Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault and Kidnapping.

Zeppa was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
