East Ridge Hoping To Expand Camp Jordan

    Written by Lysa Greer
    May 29, 2009 – 10:15 am

jordan2East Ridge is looking to add 180 acres to Camp Jordan…but, where will the money come from? City manager William Whitson plans on seeking federal stimulus.

If the request is successful, the wooded property, currently owned by Luken Holdings, would transfer to the City of East Ridge. The proposal is at the top of the list of local requests.

A letter was passed out to City Council members last night concerning the deal, and a special meeting will be held on June 1st.
