    Man Pistol Whipped At 23rd Street Bar

    robberyPolice are seeking leads in a business robbery and assault at the Sugar and Spice bar on East 23rd Street.  Officers responded Sunday morning to a report of a man being beaten and robbed at the bar.

    Police found 53-year-old Ronnie Freeman suffering from lacerations to the head and face from being pistol whipped.

    According to witnesses, two black male suspects entered the business and demanded money from Freeman.

    The suspects were able to get away with a little more than $1200 as they fled the business.

    Freeman’s current condition is not known.
