Minimal Damage In Fire At Dayton La-Z-Boy Plant
Written by Louis LeeFebruary 8, 2010 – 10:24 am
Firefighters spent yesterday morning trying to put out flames at the La-Z-Boy plant in Dayton. Sprinklers kept the blaze from spreading, and aided the professionals in getting the fire under control.
The fire chief says employees at the plant stored spare parts in cardboard boxes and that those boxes had been stored too close to a heater.
Those boxes apparently fell over, igniting the fire.
Damage to the building was minimal, but there was some damage to the stored parts as well as smoke damage.
