More Help For The Unemployed In Georgia

    Written by Jeremy Lawrence
    May 28, 2009 – 12:51 pm

A helping hand for Georgia’s unemployed.  The state has a work training program that many participate in and Governor Sonny Perdue announced that the new “Be Work Ready” program would give a boost to the jobseekers.

The program would give a $50 or $100 gift card to those with a state work ready certificate or those who improve their job skills through free, online training.  The money is to help offset job search expenses.

The program is a part of the stimulus money that the state is getting from the federal government.
