Chattanooga Police told PulseNews late Thursday that have arrested Julian Maurice Smith, Jr.  after he was positively identified as a third suspect in the homicide of rapper Robert “Brikk” Brown.

The 33 year 0ld Brown, part of the popular Chattanooga based hip hop group Piney Woods, had been shot and killed in what police described as a “robbery gone bad”.  Smith was positively identified by Josquin Jackson, who was also shot in the robbery but survived, which lead the Smith being indicted on Monday.

Working on several tips, fugitve investigators with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department and Chattanooga Police Department located Smith on Thursday and him without incident.

He has been charged with felony murder, attempted 1st degree murder, and two counts each of especially aggravated robbery and aggravated assault.  Smith is the cousin of Dexter Talley, who was the first suspect arrested in this incident. Alonza “Butch” Grace was also arrested in early April and charged with felony murder.
