Pair Charged In Holdup Of A 74-Year-Old Woman

    Written by Jeremy Lawrence
    June 24, 2009 – 11:21 am

Robbery charges have been sent to the grand Jury for the holdup of a 74-year-old woman. Joan Franks, owner of Brown’s Ferry Tavern, was allegedly thrown to the ground by the couple that now stand accused.

Steven Roe bass and Cynthia Edge are being held on bond. Franks lost some teeth in the struggle with the two over her purse. The couple allegedly planned to rob her and run off.

The plates on their car were identified and they were tracked down. Franks was taken to Erlanger for injuries received from the attack.
