TEMA To Help Make Nuclear Emergency Plans

Hamilton County and the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency will team up to develop a new emergency plan for Nuclear Facilities. The $252,000 grant from TEMA will allow county emergency services to develop contingency plans for any type of emergency at the Sequoyah Nuclear Power plant.
County Commissioner John Allen Brooks explained that the money will be used to plan for things that no one ever wants to have happen.
The new funding will help various emergency agencies tp train for everything from a simple core scram up to a terrorist attack.
