Accidents Claim Two Lives On Friday

Friday afternoon, around 5:20, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office was called to the 13100 block of Highway 111 on a traffic crash. When deputies arrived they found that a 1993 Honda, driven by Robert Myers, 53, had been traveling north bound on Highway 111 when he swerved into the median and crossed into the south bound lanes
The vehicle left the roadway and hit a ditch, at which time the driver was ejected.
Hamilton County Emergency Medical Services and Flat Top Fire Department performed life saving efforts but the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Then about twenty minutes later, he Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office was called to the 8900 block of Lovell Road on another traffic crash.
When deputies arrived on the scene they found that a 1999 Suzuki being operated by Christopher L. Phillips, 35. had crashed.
Traffic Investigator Todd Cook found that Mr. Phillips was traveling south on Lovell road and while negotiating a sharp curve, lost control and left the roadway. The driver continued off the roadway until making contact with a culvert and at that time was thrown from the motorcycle.
Hamilton County Emergency Services were called for assistance but the driver was also pronounced dead at the scene.
The incidents is still under investigation.
