    Armed Carjacker Caught At Brainerd Road Conoco

    police-arrestA suspect wanted in a carjacking Tuesday at 2400 Union Avenue was arrested after police located him driving the stolen vehicle. Brunden Hunter was arrested three hours after the carjacking and charged with two counts of aggravated robbery, carjacking, theft over $1,000 and possession of a firearm used in the commission of a felony.

    Police spotted Hunter as he pulled onto the lot of the Conoco at 3410 Brainerd Road around 7:00p.m.  Sergeant Jerri Weary said he was taken in custody at the time.

    Earlier in the day, Desmond Turner and Keeton McDaniel were parked in front of 2400 Union Avenue when they were approached by a black male suspect who pulled a gun on them and took their money, cell phones and vehicle.

    All of the stolen items were recovered in the vehicle when Hunter was arrested. Hunter also goes by the name Brandon Hunter.
