She says he sexually harassed her…He says he didn’t and has witnesses to prove it. Ashley Burgess, an employee of the Big River Grille, complained that attorney Charles Lawson groped her at the restaurant when she refused him entry.
Burgess says he told her she was beautiful and slammed her against a brick wall and groped her.
Lawson said he did attempt to carry a drink with him into the restaurant, but has witnesses that agree with his statements that he did not assault Burgess.
He also says co-workers of the woman have also made statements that agree with him.
Lawson was charged with sexual battery and entered a diversion program to the lesser charge of assault.
Burgess has filed suit against Lawson, seeking $500,000 in damages.
