David Hunter Gets Life Term In Cab Driver Murder

    Written by Louis Lee
    October 29, 2009 – 5:19 pm

LifeSentenceTNThe teenager convicted of killing cab driver James Flemming will spend the rest of his life in prison. David Hunter was only 15 years old when he was arrested, charged with killing the cabbie last year.

A jury convicted him last month, after testimony from the cabbie’s neice described, in detail, how events unfolded that night.

Evidence showed Hunter shot Fleming during a botched robbery attempt.

Hunter was tried as an adult.

He confessed to the crime, but later admitted he did so, only because he thought he’d be tried as a juvenile and be free at age 18.
