    Written by Gary Poole
    October 6, 2009 – 11:10 pm

council1The Chattanooga City Council Tuesday night passed on final reading four more annexation ordinances.  Coming into the city limits in a month will be Areas 8A, 8B, 9A and 11A.

These areas are near I-75 and Hunter Road, I-75 and Relocation Way, I-75 and Enterprise South, and an area encompassing Morris Hill Road, East Brainerd Road and Igou Gap Road.

All four ordinances were passed by a vote of 7 to 1, with only Councilman Russell Gilbert voting against, as he has done on every single annexation ordinance.

The council also passed on first reading annexations plans for Areas 10A and 10B, all near Old Lee Highway between I-75 and the Collegdale city limits.
