Homeowner Shot In Hand During Home Invasion

Chattanooga Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Saturday around 12:30 p.m. at 3301 Pinewood Drive. According to Investigators, the incident was possibly a Home Invasion gone bad.
The victim, 30-year-old Derrick Houston, was shot in the hand when he fought with an intruder that attempted to rob him in his own home.
The black male suspect fled the scene and Mr. Houston drove himself to the hospital. He was treated for a gunshot wound to the right hand and released.
Officer Rebecca Royval said that the incident is still under investigation, and further information will be released when it becomes available.
