    Armed Man Robs Christian Science Reading Room

    christian sciencePolice are seeking information on the identification of a suspect believed to have committed a robbery at the Christian Science Reading Room at 1006 Market Street today. The store clerk told police that the suspect came into the store around 10:30 this morning wielding a large knife.

    When he told her to give up the money, she gave over the cash drawer and the suspect fled the store.

    The photos were taken shortly after the incident by surveillance cameras. The suspect is described as a black male, medium complexion; unshaven, about 5’09 or 5’10, 165 pounds wearing a dark cap, a dark shirt, and tan shorts.

    Anyone with information on this person is asked to contact the Chattanooga Police Department at 423-698-2525.
