    Motorcycle Accident Injures Rider, Shuts Down I-24

    traffic-accidentA motorcycle rider is in critical condition following a crash in I-24 Sunday evening.  The Interstate, near the Rave movie theater was shut down for 45 minutes while Chattanooga Police cleared the scene and investigated the cause.

    The wreck involved the motorcycle and two other vehicles.

    Witnesses said the rider of the motorcycle lost control of the bike and was thrown.

    The second two vehicles were damaged trying to avoid the motorcycle.

    The rider was taken to Erlanger in critical condition with unknown life threatening injuries.
