CPD Officer Relieved Of Duty After Domestic Assault

A joint investigation by the Chattanooga Police Department Internal Affairs Division and the Domestic Violence Unit has led to the arrest of a Chattanooga Police Officer.
Officer Carlos Woodruff, a 15 year veteran was placed under arrest after police were called to his residence after his wife reported that he had assaulted her.
Officer Woodruff has been relieved of duty, and is charged with Domestic Assualt.
Lt. Kim Noorbergen said that because of the ongoing investigation, no other details of the assault and arrest can be revealed at this time.

It’s pretty bad that the Chattanooga Police Dept. had relieved this Officer from Duty when he hasn’t be found Guilty of the Charge. I think this Officers needs to sue the Chief of Police and the city for this. this officer has been with the city for 15 years and it’s always a witch hunt after Police Officers in this City….It’s time for a NEW Chief of Police & Mayor of this City.
