moccasin-bend-1Could there be a new visitors center at Moccasin Bend?  That’s what the National Park Service has recommended.  The cost of such a place would be anywhere from nearly $14 million to around $19 million.

A report by the park service suggests that a facility should be built in partnership with a private group like Friends of Moccasin Bend.

A new building would not be built in an area that would disturb sensitive areas.
