An increase is coming at the University of Tennessse: a tuition hike that will be in the hundreds of dollars this fall.  The tuition hike will include students here at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga.

That, along with cuts in staffing and a salary freeze, will according to those among the trustees, reign in spending at the university.

The upcoming budget of $1.8 billion will anticipate declining state spending and other factors while continuing the university’s mission of education.
