Weekly Poll Results – Live Music

    Written by Gary Poole
    July 16, 2009 – 11:04 am

live music 2Q: How often do you go out to see a live music performance in town?

    Never – 31%
    Three times a month – 23%
    Couple times a year – 18%
    Every few months – 9%
    Once a month – 8%
    Every week – 6%
    Only at Riverbend – 4%
    Several times a week – 1%

Considering that the Pulse newspaper caters to the arts & entertainment crowd, we were a little surprised at the results from our most recent poll.  While it’s not too surprising that a quarter of you go out several times a month, we were a bit surprised to see that nearly a third of you never go out to see any live music, not even Riverbend or Nightfall.

Then we looked around at other research of polling data from other cities, both larger and smaller, and discovered that we are actually well ahead of the average (with the exception of Austin, TX and Las Vegas, NV) when it comes to people getting out of the house and going to a concert.
