Weekly Poll Results – Metro Government

    Written by Gary Poole
    October 15, 2009 – 10:23 am

poll_voteQ: Should Chattanooga and Hamilton County form a consolidated metro government?

    Yes – 61%
    No – 32%
Not at this time – 7%

Other polls we’ve seen that have been conducted in the past week, since Mayor Littlefield first broached the idea of consolidating Chattanooga and Hamilton County into a single government, have shown support to be more in the 52-48 range.

Apparently, Pulse readers and listeners are a bit more open to the idea of combining the two governments, at least at first blush.

Be sure to read Pulse Beats this week in the paper and here online for a longer look at the concept and the next steps in the process.
