Over the past year, Facebook has more than doubled in size, adding well over 100 million new users to the largest social networking website in the country. Of those 100 million, over two-thirds where over the age of 35, which has completely changed the demographics of the site. So it was no surpise to see how many Pulse readers and listeners were on the site as well.
Twitter continues to show strength, but it will be interesting to see what happens if/when they start either charging to the service or adding advertising to the site.
MySpace used to the dominant social network, but as Facebook has grown, MySpace has fallena bit, moving more and more back to it’s roots as a site for bands to promote themselves as well as having a much younger demographic.
We are also happy to see a number of you joining Chattanooga Lives Green, a local environmental social network that is, like The Pulse and 95.3 Pulse News, owned by Brewer Media Group.
