Be the next Chattanooga’s Voice
Not counting showers or afternoon car rides, can you sing? No…like, really sing?
Well, if you can, the Chattanooga Theatre Centre is looking for you to compete for the title of “Chattanooga’s Voice.”
The winner will receive a $1,000 cash prize and the chance to perform the national anthem at the Chattanooga Lookouts baseball game May 26.
Singers interested in the auditions must sign up in person at the Chattanooga Theatre Centre Friday, May 17, between 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Only 75 slots are available, and there is no fee for registration. Auditions will be held Sunday, May 19 between 1:30 – 5:30 p.m., and singers will be asked to perform a cappella. From this audition, 10 contestants will be selected to compete at the finals on Thursday, May 23.
The finals will be held as a gala event at the CTC. The celebration of local beautiful voices will commence at 6 p.m. with entertainment, drinks, and heavy hors d’oeuvres from Events With Taste.
The competition will begin at 7 p.m. and the 10 finalists chosen from auditions will perform before a live audience. Tickets to the gala are available now and are $100 per ticket. There are a limited number of “show only” tickets available for $25.
Leading the night’s event is singer and performer Azusa (SheShe) Dance.
Three local celebrity judges yet to be announced will select Chattanooga’s Voice in the head-to-head competition.
