Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood Preview Screening
Join us for a special preview of WTCI's new preschool animated program, "Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood." Based on Mr. Rogers Neighborhood, this program presents developmentally appropriate content addressing the social emotional needs of the preschool audience. Visit tables from noon to 4:00 and enjoy activities that celebrate the characters in the program. At 1:30 and 3:30 special previews of the show will be offered in the Museum's auditorium. Each preview will last about 20 minutes.
"A cornerstone of academic success in school is a child's well being and social emotional adjustment. Fred Rogers understood this need for preschoolers and used it as the basis for his successful television show, Mr. Rogers Neighborhood. PBS is now using animated characters from Mr. Rogers Neighborhood to teach those same lessons," said Arts Manager Liza Blair. "We are delighted to partner with WTCI to preview this wonderful new program and encourage parents to use media effectively and appropriately with their young children."
