Chattanooga State Health Sciences Center 4501 Amnicola Hwy, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37406
Teen Maze is a real-time maze that gives teens the opportunity to experience the consequences of their choices before they have to make those choices in real life! It is a fun, interactive event. Topics include:
•drinking & driving
•substance abuse & rehabilitation
•legal consequence
•relationships
•sexually transmitted infections
•teen pregnancy/parenting
•financial obligations
•depression & suicide
•peer pressure & bullying
•media myths and dangers
•education & career opportunities
Sophomores from registered area high schools will be bused to the event March 9-11, but March 8th is an open house preview for parents or anyone else from the public to come and go through the maze. There is no cost but registration is encouraged.
The event is led by local non-profit "1 in 3" (whose name reflects the statistic that 1 in 3 people will be affected by drunk driving at some point in their lives). 1 in 3 has partnered with the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Health Department, Tennessee Highway Patrol, Chattanooga State Technical Community College, and many other public and private organizations.
